  • When does your growing/sales season end?
Our season for sales is short and intense! We typically do our earliest sales the very last week of April and grow a LOT leading up to the long weekend in May. After that we continue to sell into June, typically closing by half-way through June. This is all weather dependent, and you can check the website in April to get a sense of when we plan to open on a given year.
  • Can I place a small order, and do you deliver?"
We do NOT offer delivery for our retail customers. You can shop with us on site, or at the market, or from our sellers who carry our product. All of that information on shopping with us is available at the bottom of each page under "Directory". We DO usually deliver for wholesale orders. Such orders must meet a minimum of ten (10) trays (or 180 units of seedlings). Of those 180 units, a given item must be ordered in AT LEAST x9 quantities (ie. you cannot order 2 of this and 5 of that). For wholesale inquiries, please contact via our contact information to discuss.
  • Is your farm open to visitors?
Trout Lily operates on a large and lovely farm property which is NOT open to customers to freely explore because others work and live on this site (and it can also be dangerous). If you come during our limited hours for on-site sales, please stick to our designated sales area. Thank you for respecting this space!
  • Where are your seeds and plants from?
Our SEEDS come from a variety of sources, all of which meet the standard to maintain our organic certification. We are not set up to produce our own seeds. Our SEEDLINGS (the plants) are all grow on site by our small (and mighty!) team. Until you take it home, the plants you purchase from us have lived their lives on our site from seed onward. Note on exceptions: in the case of seed sourcing problems or crop failure issues we might choose to source cuttings from elsewhere before growing something out ourselves. This is unusual.
  • I don't live nearby/ cannot come during your limited hours. Where else can I find your seedlings sold?
Trout Lily organic seedlings are sold in several other locations you can contact directly. Several are listed with links below. You can also visit the "where else to find seedlings?" page of the website, available on the main menu. These places also carry/sell lots of other items and you'll need to reach out directly to them for more information. Fergus: Little Tree Garden Market Guelph: Brock Road Nursery and The Stone Store GTA: BUFCO, Urban Harvest, Davenport Garden Centre, Ambrosia Natural Foods
